![]() I can get Finale to DP's MIDI clock easy enough, but tempo changes in DP are not being read by Finale. I'll play with that a little but I am not hopeful I can figure it out. Would save a lot of headaches in inserting tempos and alterations, such as rit., etc. I definitely see the value for Finale to slave to DP's conductor track. All I'm doing is having Finale play Plogue Bidule files. Trombonist, Orchestrator, Composer/Arranger, CopyistĪre you currently using Plogue Bidule with Finale without DP or another host for inter app MIDI? I couldn't get that to work which is why I created the workaround. I would love to deal with all the audio and tempo mapping in DP, and then have Finale slave to it on playback. ![]() The only pain, is syncing up the audio exactly. How will you use this exactly? I'm currently writing orchestral arrangements on top of rhythm tracks (to be recorded live, not with synths), and I'm doing it all in Finale right now with the imported audio track. It won't sync up playback timelines between the two, will it? If I press play in DP, will Finale play? Or are you just talking about getting audio from Finale routed into DP? I'm not quite understanding how this will work. Not only is this a great way to pipe your Rewire friendly VIs to Finale, but you have the same instrument template running to DP for fast sketches, working quickly to picture, and perhaps composing in a more spontaneous way than you might otherwise have in Finale. If I setup up a Plogue Bidule template with DP running, then publish the DP ports to Inter-App MIDI and assign the ports to instruments in Finale, the Finale file will playback the Plogue Bidule VIs via Rewire as long as DP is running in the background. Sibelius does and that's a sticking point for some.ĭigital Performer (currently version 7.12) does support Rewire.ĭP and Finale both support Inter-application MIDI. MakeMusic Forum > Public Forums > Finale - Macintosh - FORUM HAS MOVED! > Rewire CAN work in Finale - just use your DAW! :)įinale (currently version 2011) does not support Rewire.
